The patch looks fine to me in principle.
As has been rather painfully obvious, my work on distributed
tinderboxing has ground to a halt over the past few months, simply
down to an insane amount of travel and hardware installations
associated with my real job.
In the next day or so, I'll write up my discoveries so far, looking
at how I envisage things migrating from where they're at right now,
on to the next step.
There's been a lot of cleanup code in HEAD, most notably the use of
the tinderLoc() function to provide a single point of entry to
various paths, which could do with backporting, and an eventual 2.4
release.
Going forward, however, it has become obvious to me that there are a
number of fundamental issues that need to be addressed in order to
allow for co-operative building across a number of hosts, with the
current setup (1 build, 1 host), being a specific degenerate case
(ie: a few extra setup pieces would be needed beyond what we have now).
Having just got back from a very long week in San Jose, installing
several hundred TB of new drives, I'm completely shattered at this
point, but I do promise to followup in the next week or so.
