Using packages built on a current mashine on a releng_6 jail

Hello!

I configured a tinderbox that is running on a current mashine.

The tinderbox, is building packages for ports, on two builds, one using
a jail with tag=. and the other with tag=RELENG_6.

im trying to install the packages built in the releng_6 jail on a
releng_6 mashine, but i noticed the binaries are linked to libc.so.7.

the question is

Shouldnt the packages be linked to libc.so.6, so they could work on a 6
mashine?

if not, whats the point of building packages for a version prior to the
one thats running the tinderbox?
