sending completion/error emails

I am now trying to get my Tinderbox set up to send me an email upon a
Build completion or error.  I can already send email from my box using 'mail'
or sendmail (I am actually using ssmtp in place of sendmail).  I have
added my users to the datastore and Build list.

The error messages I receive are:

rose# ./tc sendBuildCompletionMail -b 7.0-FreeBSD -u chess
Can't call method "getEmail" on an undefined value at ./tc line 2770.

and when I try and build something with the email notification check
in the www-exp interface, I get an error like this upon completion:

Can't call method "mail" on an undefined value at lib/tinderlib.pl

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
