Hello.

  What's wrong with DISTFILE_CACHE in 2.3.6 version?

# ./tc configDistfile
DISTFILE_CACHE=/usr/ports/distfiles/

# ls -l /usr/ports/distfiles/atslog-2.1.1.tar.gz
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  595393  7 mar 06:07 /usr/ports/distfiles/atslog-2.1.1.tar.gz

# cat atslog-2.1.1_2.log
====================<phase 1: make checksum>====================
=> atslog-2.1.1.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /tmp/distfiles/.

  Why doesn't it see path in DISTFILE_CACHE? Is it my local problem?
