"Hosts" within tinderbox?

I do not use the Hosts table, so if no one else objects, go for it.  As
for merging 2.x with HEAD, that sounds fine to me as well.  I still have
one more feature on my plate, and that is to add a log highlighter to
make compiler warnings easier to spot.  The idea here is to eliminate
trivial runtime problems especially on 64-bit platforms.
